one "can't upload images" solution..
-
Hey all.. I have a site that has used NextGen for several years. At some point after the latest upgrades of NGG and WP, the site started suffering from the seemingly common “can’t upload images” issue.. where I’d upload them, NGG would say “successful”, but the images would never appear in the gallery – or in the FTP folder.
Today I took a closer took and found that my upload path in Other Options did NOT MATCH the actual file locations of the gallery.
My old images were all in /wp-content/uploads/NGU/[galleryname] yet NGG was uploading new images to /wp-content/gallery/[galleryname], as that’s what the Other Options > Image Options had configured.. I assume this is likely due to some legacy setting..
So while images were indeed uploading successfully (per the uploader), the gallery showed them as broken since it was looking for the images in a different path.
SO – check Other Options > Image Options in your NGG settings.. make sure its wp-content/uploads/NGU/ or wherever your images all are..
