On the recover-password form, is there a way to display passwords in the clear

Many forms supplied by other plugins allow the user to display a password in the clear when creating it. Usually, there is an icon at the right hand of the field that looks like an eye. Clicking on the eye toggles the field display between cleartext and dots for each character in the password.

Is there any way to enable this on the reset-password form? Especially, if the plugin settings require a particular strength for the password, it is hard to write down the password while attempting to satisfy the strength criterion. Supporting the ability of users to display the password in cleartext makes the password selection process easier to execute.
