    Hello,

Can this plugin be used for “on site” courses, not online courses? I need a way to sell training courses that will be provided at two locations. At this time I do not need to teach online.

    Thank you

  • @pixelsanddots,

You *could* but I’d probably recommend you try using an events plugin to handle your on-site courses. LifterLMS does not have any features setup to handle the display of the information you’re probably going to require for on-site courses (location, date, time, etc…) and it’s going to ASSUME you’re going to create online course content within the course.

You can of course do as you like but as the lead dev I wouldn’t advise trying to crowbar our online course plugin into working as an offline course plugin.

I’d recommend you check out any of the events plugins out there or one of the ecommerce plugin ticketing add-ons to sell access to live events.

The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe and WooCommerce Tickets would be my recommendations.

At some point in the future we do plan to offer features to support course creators who are created blended experiences (online courses with live pieces or live courses with online pieces) but as of today our plugin is aimed very specifically at building ONLINE courses and I don’t want to have you using it in a way it’s not intended and then being really unhappy because we don’t have features to support what you’re looking to do.

You wouldn’t drive a car into a lake and then complain to the manufacturer that it didn’t float like a boat, why would you try to use an online course platform for offline courses!

Thanks Thomas! I’ll try some of your suggestions. I’m just getting started and your direction is appreciated.
