on sent ok – return url configuration

We used to use a custom script for on_sent_ok: “location….” but that has been deprecated. What is our option now when we want a return URL after they submit a form? We have paypal integration and can use that – have it SKIP redirect to paypal when it is a zero amount and then give the return URL in the field in the PayPal tab. Is that the best option?
