I just signed up for Siteground and starting using this plugin. When I was activating all the different features, these onscreen notifications popped up and now I cannot close them.

Ironically enough, they cover up all the different toggle switches so I can no longer use this interface.

I’ve purged the website’s cache and deleted my browser cache and they still won’t go away.

I believe that’s some other plugin interfering with JS and CSS on the backend. Please, post a ticket in your Help Desk and my colleagues will assist you with that.

I’m also having this problem, on 1 of the 3 sites in my account. I have opened a ticket.

Edit: I now had this problem. Ticket already answered while I was typing this. (you guys are fast) Clearing all caches both server and browser seems to have fixed the problem, for me anyway ??

I just spent almost an hour with your online chat support, and he said that since he can’t reproduce the problem and there are no error logs, there is nothing he can do.

So basically I can’t use your plugin until something magically happens and they disappear at some random point in the future if the universe allows it. Cool.

This is odd. Here is the ticket I sent to SG support:

    “Good morning,

I have just read in the WordPress plugins support area that someone else is also having the same problem. The pop up notifications in SG Optimizer won’t go away. I have 3 sites in my account, but it’s only happening on https://www.thetravellingchilli.com The other 2 are just simple coming soon pages, I turn things on and off and the pop ups go away automatically.

Thing is the notifications initially went away after I updated to the new version of SG Optimiser, but what with a whole bunch of other updates to core, themes and other plugins there must now be some conflict I can’t find. I would like to avoid disabling any plugins, and only do so as a last resort.

    Regards,

    Sean”

And here is the reply I got about 5 mins later:

    “Hello Sean,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

The issue as described was addressed in version 5.0.7. I have cleaned all cache layers from your cPanel -> SuperCacher and the application level cache.

Could you please clear your browser’s cache and re-test to check if the issue persists. If the notices are still present, please provide me with access to the wp-admin dashboard so that I may review the popup live for debugging.

    Best Regards,

    Kostadin Nanev

I cleared just the cache/local storage/cookies for my website, so I had to log in again, obviously. I figured there was no need to clear my entire browser cache. I’m using Safari 12.0.2 on a Macbook running osX Sierra, if that means anything.

In 5.0.7 we’ve added coded to clear browser caching on every update. Could you login in an incognito window and tell me if you keep seeing the problem?

    Yes, it’s still there.

I click on “Purge cache”, the notification pops-up that tells me the cache has been cleared, and then I cannot close it and it doesn’t disappear on its own.
