On 'Save' image disappears

  • I’m running WordPress 3.1.4 and I’m using version 3.1.5 of Simple Image Widget – I know, I know, very old, but am in the process of upgrading the whole WordPress install and this issue has come to light during an upgrade step….

    I’ve got a sidebar with the image widget – I open the widget dialogue and upload a new image….all goes well, everything looks fine in the widget dialogue…..but as soon as I hit ‘Save’ the image disappears leaving a ‘broken image’ icon, both in the widget dialogue and in the main site.

    Any thoughts on this?

    BTW, my plugins page doesn’t say there’s a new version of Simple Image Widget that I should update to, so it’s been left as-is.
