On sale products shortcode not working

Please give more details about why its not working.

I wish I could but I have no idea.
Other shortcodes do work, this is actually the only one that doesn’t.
For some reason I keep seeing normal and sale products instead of only sale products.

Were these products updated recently or imported?

Go to WC > System Status > Tools, then clear transients.

The products are imported, I tried clearing the transients but no success.

Should I also clear the expired transients?

No, just try adding a new on-sale product and see if it refreshes.

Still not working.

Then do another test with different theme. I don’t see anything else that would break this shortcode.
