    Hi SunnyPapaBear,

It is not, but I am working on a brand new plugin that does. Basically a super enhanced version of this plugin with far better UI. It will be out later this month. I will post here again when it is available.

    Best,
    Nick

I just implemented this wonderful plugin for a client, and ran across this same wishlist item – would like to be able to add custom header and content to category taxonomy. You mentioned a few weeks ago you’d update when it’s available, so thought I’d inquire. Thanks!

    Hi SunnyPapaBear and bigbritches,

A beta version of my new plugin, Blox Lite is ready on GitHub. Here is the link. Please note there may be a few bugs as I am still finishing it up and getting it ready to submit to the www.remarpro.com repository. So I highly advise you do not use it on a client site, but feel free to check it out. If you do, please let me know if you catch any issues.

Also I am still working on an instructional video and documentation, so let me know if there is any confusion in using the plugin.

    Hi

I downloaded and tried Blox but I can only see options for posts. I’m trying to add it to an archive page, more specifically, for categories of WooCommerce products.

I want to only have something appear on that specific archive page, not each product.

    Hi WPSeeker,

I am working on documentation and some intro videos, so sorry if it is currently confusing to use Blox Lite. I know this is not what you want to do, but to add Local Blocks to WooCommerce products, you have to enable products in the Blox Lite Settings. The Settings page is available from the new plugin menu option at the bottom of the Admin left-hand-side menu bar. It says “Blox Lite”.

Now to add a content block to an archive, under the “Blox Lite” are the options for Global Blocks. You will want to add a Global Block to target an archive. Create a new Global Block, add the content you want and set the position. Then on the Location tab, choose “Show on Selected”, and from the options, select “Archive Pages”. Then from the box that shows up, select “Selected Archive Types”. Next select the Archive type you want, presumably “Product Categories”. Again choose whether you want to show on all categories or a selection. Choose what you want and then click “Update”. Your new Global Block should be displaying on the desired archive page.

Please let me know if you have any trouble or have any other questions.

    Nick

To others reading this post, these comments do not refer to Genesis Custom Headers. They refer to a new plugin called Blox Lite that is available on Github that is an enhancement of Genesis Custom Headers. Blow Lite is still in development, but feel free to try it out.
