On the admin Wordfence settings pages there is no way to tell if a setting is turned on or off with this current button design. Is it the side with the blue-ish background that is enabled or is it the side with the white background that’s enabled? Seriously, this is bad UI. Please let me know what is considered the ‘highlighted’ option, the blue or the white.
    Thanks

  • I’ve had that issue as well, and even after hundreds of hours using Wordfence I still sometimes wonder whether something is on, or off. Part of the poor design is that the color of the “on” portion of an on/off button is the same color as things like “Upgrade to Premium, while other things are blue text on white background. There seems to be no real logic to it, and nothing that helps my mind differentiate things. Just amazes me how bad it is, in my opinion. For comparison, I just looked at my least favorite UI in the universe, Windows, and even it is better, for example using check boxes that show a check mark when something is enabled, and blank when not enabled. So much better. And then there is WordPress, which also uses checkboxes that are obvious as to whether a feature is enabled or not. My guess is the UI designers at Wordfence are either very poor at their job, or were trying to be different and make a design statement at the expense of function. But who knows for sure. In any case, it’s been very frustrating. MTN

    Hi @alvista
Thanks for the feedback, we have three types of check boxes in the plugin, the blue color is designated for the “On” option for all of them, please check these screenshots:
“On” is activated here, here and there.

    Thanks.

When a toggle button is set to ON, the OFF label should not be displayed and vice versa. Currently the toggle button shows both ON and OFF labels which might confuse people. Check Windows 10, the toggle button only shows active label i.e. ON or OFF.
