• Hello,

    I love this plugin, but would love it even more if I can see it on every page (tags, category, search results,…)

    The reason is that I use a ‘sticky menu’ (menu stays on top even if the user scrolls down). As smart-navbar is using the same area on top on the page, I had to change the settings of the Sticky Menu (or Anything!) plugin so that the menu shows 25 pixels lower (so under the SmartNav bar)

    This works fine as long as there is a Smart Navbar of course. On tag pages etc the area where the Smart Navbar should be is transparent, so you see 25 pixels of the page, then the menu and then the rest of the post ;-(

    So enabling the Smart Navbar should solve this problem, even it makes no sense to bookmark a search result….

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Sounds interesting- we will add this request to our work queue. I’ll update you in a few days to let you know when you can expect this.

    Thanks for that.

    In the mean time, I found the ‘nuclear option’ – in smartnavbar.class.php I changed line 225 into:

    $display = true;

    This way the navbar shows on every single page of my site, but I bumped immediately on another problem: the text in the bar not always makes sense on category pages etc.

    Temporary solution which is acceptable for me was to change line 275 into:

    $html Klik links om deze pagina te bewaren (= Dutch, means: ‘click left to save this page)

    I’m sure there are better ways to achieve this, but I’m in no way a coder

    Best regards,
    Alex
