    Hi,

The plugin triggers a fatal error on activation:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare plugin_detective_autoload_classes() (previously declared in /home/sendasites/public_html/wp-content/plugins/plugin-detective/plugin-detective.php:46) in /home/sendasites/public_html/wp-content/plugins/plugin-detective/plugin-detective.php on line 58

But it still seems to activate. Then if I click on the troubleshoot, or the link under tools I get a 404 error.

My site is multisite, it is using a multi-database plugin and a domain mapping plugin as well as s3 offload lite (those 4 things usually come up whenever I am troubleshooting a plugin conflict)

I tried activating the plugin per site and then also network-wide and I got the same result.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi there, thanks for the detailed bug report, this is helpful.

I don’t have ready access to an install with domain mapping and multi-database but I’ll see if we can implement a fix based on the errors you provided.

    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Hi Jeremy,

I realized after I sent you my original response, Plugin Detective doesn’t work on multisite (yet). We wanted to get the plugin out there for people to use, but there’s a good amount of work to do before it will support multisite. As I’m sure you know, multisite can get a bit complicated.

With a single install, it’s easy to determine which plugins are active and manipulate them. With a multisite, there are network-activated plugins and plugins at the site level. And theoretically Plugin Detective could be run on all the whole network of plugins, or just looking at a single site. And there are permission differences between a network admin and an admin for one of the sites in the network. So it will take some work for us to support all that. We want to see how much interest there is in supporting multisite, and get some feedback from multisite users to understand what would be most useful for them and how they’d use it.

Would this just be a tool for you (the network admin)? Or would you want your site admins to be able to run it (and I assume they could only test their site-activated plugins, not disable any that you’ve network-activated?)

    Thanks,
    Nathan
