    Hi!

Ofcourse results differ per site. So the same configuration of OMGF on one site, might not work on the other. The trick is finding the correct configuration for each site. ??

First off, preload should be used with care and should only be used for fonts loaded above the fold — everything else can wait.

In your other post you mentioned a list of fonts you preloaded in which you also preload ‘italic’ font variants. Since you don’t use any italic fonts above the fold, you shouldn’t preload those.

I checked your site and in your case you should only preload Source Sans Pro 400, 600 and 700.

Also, Cumulative Layout Shift can be caused by other things than fonts. If OMGF isn’t helping reducing CLS by preload the correct font files, then it’s very likely that CLS is caused by something else.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi Dan.
    Thanks for your answer.

I’ve set to preload only Source Sans Pro 400, 600 and 700. It didn’t make any change on the Pagespeed desktop CLS, continues 0.12.

I understand that CLS can be caused by other things then fonts, but as the CLS reduced a lot when not preloading italic (CLS went fron 0,548 to 0,12) I thought there might be some other font settings that would improve even more.
