• Hey there Paul,

    I am trying to add the Omakase Widget (called Selfoptimizing links widget in the german market) to my website but use it localized. I tried to create a new template from the code that I copied from the amazon website but apart from the tag I am out of ideas how to translate the code into a template.

    Here is the code from the US site:

    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    amazon_ad_tag = "%TAG%"; amazon_ad_width = "300"; amazon_ad_height = "250"; amazon_ad_link_target = "new"; amazon_ad_border = "hide";//--></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/s/ads.js"></script>

    and here is the code from the german site:

    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    amazon_ad_tag = "%TAG%"; amazon_ad_width = "300"; amazon_ad_height = "250"; amazon_ad_link_target = "new"; amazon_ad_border = "hide";//--></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://ir-de.amazon-adsystem.com/s/ads.js"></script>

    I am kinda missing an explanation in the FAQ how to translate a widget into a template. Or maybe I just didnt find the correct information.

    Hope you can help,
    thanks !
    Alex

    Hi,

    You’re right there is nothing to help on this translation process. The keyword that you need I think is the %IMP% one to replace the ir-de/ir-na.

    Other keywords for translating amazon js include:

    TLD => co.uk / .com / .jp
    REGION => eu / na
    MPLACE => GB / US / JP
    MPLACE_ID => 2 / 1 / 9
    IMP => ir-uk / ir-na / ir-jp
    Hope that helps,

    Paul
