I’m trying to update my classic Genesis plus child theme site to a block-based site. I’ve setup a staging site and deactivated all plugins that were previously installed. I installed and activated Ollie but I don’t see all 3 of the options that are supposed to be under Appearance (Themes, Editor, Ollie). In my case I only see 2 options (Themes and Editor). When I select Editor, I don’t see the option for the Ollie Setup Wizard. Did I miss a step, or is the fact that I’m activating this over a pre-existing site have something to do with the issue?

The theme setup wizard has been removed from the theme because the WP review team has disallowed it, see here: https://wptavern.com/contentious-review-process-leads-ollie-theme-to-remove-innovative-onboarding-features-amid-stagnating-block-theme-adoption

So the description of this theme here on WP.org should be updated, there is no setup wizard.

But you can setup the theme manually by the site editor and WordPress core settings, no problem.

Hi @welldun1, thanks for trying Ollie! Unfortunately, the wizard and dashboard had to be removed for the theme to be allowed on www.remarpro.com. Check out the blog post I published yesterday about this.

We’ve moved the onboarding to a plugin, and will hopefully have that available soon!

Ok. thanks for the update. Aside from the Setup Wizard, did the Ollie Dashboard provide other features that will be added to the plugin?

Yup! We had some docs and video resources in there as well. Those will also make a triumphant return!
