• It seems that all my posts from 2010 have double titles. The 2011 ones seem okay from what I have seen. Can someone give me help?

Essmi, I’m not sure what you mean.

trying to connect to your site gives the error message, posted by @esmi.

basically, it is impossible to view your site.

That’s weird. I haven’t had any trouble. Please try again –

I wonder if you guys are accessing from IP addresses that are part of ranges that I have blocked due to excessive spam. Not that you guys have done anything. Do you know your IP addresses?

I see your site fine. The double posts titles are weird, no explanation! Did you move your site?

Thanks Duramatters. Weird. No, I did not move my site.

when you open up a post to edit, is that how it is in the post title space? it might mean you have to edit/update each post title manually to correct it, though it still does not explain why it happened.

Hi Duramatters, I tried editing one.

It showed as a single title in the title space in the edit window. I deleted and retyped it but when I updated it still showed as a double title on the site.

My site has a similar problem.

This post is the most recent one with double titles.

All earlier ones have doubles. All newer posts have correct single titles. I have tried to edit manually, but the title shows up correctly in all places of my dashboard.

I found a suggestion on this site to check the archive.php and single.php files for specific lines of code. I am using atahualpa as my theme and do not have those files in that theme’s directory. Doing a site search only turns up those files in the twentyten theme directory and the default directory. The relevant code does not occur in the files in the default directory.

I wouldn’t doubt that there’s a code problem somewhere, since I’ve already had to fix one code problem caused by a theme update to one of my widgets. But I wouldn’t know where to begin to find said problem.

Mine has double titles, too, for older posts. They used to be fine – darn. Have no clue where to start with this as well, and it’s not something I feel inclined to put a lot of time into. Must be the theme and one of the updates….

also, my image for my title bar disappeared and reverted back to the default images, but I will have to go back in to fix that when I have time.

I am also having this issue. There are single titles when the post is created, but upon going back to update, two titles appear. Any ideas?

Thanks for all the responses! I ended up switching to a new theme.
