“Older Posts” Just Repeats 1st 12 Posts

  • On the Pictorico theme, I am having an issue where when you click the “Older Posts” button on the home page it displays the 1st 12 posts again. If you click “Older Posts” a second time, then it takes you the the next 12 posts. Any help in solving this would be appreciated.

    Hi @dscottclark –

    There are a couple of troubleshooting steps for sort of bug.

    (1) Did you modify any of Pictorico’s files directly? If so, make a backup of the theme directory, and reinstall a fresh, untouched copy of the theme. If the problem goes away, move your changes bit by bit into a child theme instead of modifying the theme directly. Check your site after every couple of changes to figure out where the problem was introduced.

    (2) To rule out a plugin conflict, you could try temporarily deactivating all your plugins. Does the problem persist? If the problem is gone, reactivate your plugins one-by-one, look at the site in between each reactivation, to find the conflict.
