Older episodes do not have player shown

    Dear Support,

    My wife has a podcast website and i try to maintain most of it. Now it happens that some listeners do not see the podcasts on apple, google and spotify. When i check the website and of to “afleveringen” (episodes) and i choose episode 1 to 5 i see the article but i do not see the player anymore. When i go to the elementor i do see a little grey bar where the player should be but when i click on it on the left pannel i see the option “select episode” and i cant choose older episodes… Only 6 until 15 which are also online. Is there a way to fix this?

    We host the website / podcast ourselves, not through castos hosting.

    Thanks for contacting us.

    This is probably due to a general WordPress setting hidden in Settings (not Seriously Simple settings) → Reading.

    You can find more information in our Help Center article: My Podcast Feed Only Includes 10 Episodes

    This basically limits the RSS feed to the last ten episodes and hides the rest.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Jimmy,

    The reading section under settings is what was causing the issue. It was set to 10 and i increased the number and now it is fixed. Thanks for the help!
