Old wordpress site to new domain to get stories

  • Hi all,

    I have a site, https://travelwritelive.com (I think version 3.6). I want to take the content of this site and then upload it to my personal site at https://devingalaudet.com (version 3.91).

    Yes, I realize that I will likely lose whatever cache I have earned with the other site with the transfer. Can I just export the xml file from the first site and import it into the new site? Or are there a bunch of other steps? I assume this will break links but I assume I can just go through the posts and fix these over time.

    I realize this may be a common questions but was not sure how to phrase it as I am not a technical person.

    That should be possible, yes. Then I suggest that either take the old site down or upgrade it asap.
