• I just moved my blog to a new server, and upgraded to the newest version of WordPress.

However, I’m having an issue where all of the links (including the login link, ect) are referring to my old domain. I can not find where this information is input so I might change it.

    HELP?? Thanks!

Ok, I guess perhaps I need to login to the admin panel. I’ve tried this.. going to the CORRECT url.. but it keeps telling me it can’t load the page.

    Thoughts?

Change site_url and home values in the database (options table)
    see details >> https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

Thanks for the help, I did change it, but it didn’t change everything. The links on the left for previous months, ect.. still show the old url. Also, when I login, it just puts me back to the login screen. ?? Any more ideas?

    Did you change both values?

I only saw one value on that page. I’ll read it again

    site_url and home – that’s what I wrote above.

Whoops.. I missed that. Now I can’t figure out why I click login.. then go to the login page and enter my information.. and it just keeps reloading the login page.

    Any thoughts??

Thanks so much for the help with the url thing.

…and upgraded to the newest version of WordPress.

Your script is saying you are using WP 0.72 ??

I initially installed 1.2, and was upgrading to 1.5, but I’ve been having so many issues, I reinstalled the old info, and am trying to figure out where I went wrong. Additionally, I’m on a new server, so I figure that was a bit of a problem.

Can you suggest where I should start in fixing this mess? Thanks!

You are not using by any chance “mixed” files from different versions, are you?
For the login problem I’d do a search around here (also using the google link at the bottom of the search results) for “login redirect” and similar keywords. I remember some users had problems on different servers, with different earlier versions etc.
When at least the login works you could think about a decent upgrade ??

One to think about – is your database host name correct in wp-config.php? OK, if it’s localhost, ignore this, but if it’s moved, could you be pointing at the wrong db?

Not that I’m admitting having done that once. Oh no. ??
