Old Posts Automatically Republishing

  • Help! I have a WP blog for an online store, I am running the arthemia theme. Six days ago, old blog posts randomly began republishing themselves at the rate of one a day, each with a current date and I have no idea why? The URL is https://ministyle.com.au/blog/

    Any ideas?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    @ esmi deactivating all plugins is not the best solution this is happening every 12 hours only plugins related to publishing should be deactivated.Currently I have this problem and wish for a more detailed answer on why my old blog posts are being republished.

    I found the issue that causes this problem.
    You must’ve enabled “SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2” plugin. It has an option to do this automatically.

    Has been troubling me for a week! Hope it fixes this.

    I am using this plugin myself and it was exactly that plugin that was causing the problem I did not know it had publishing features.The option causing the problem is promote old post. I have reactivated the plugin and have no problem with republishing anymore. Although this option is good if you are going to take a break from blogging and have no guest posters it will keep your feed updated
