Hello, I’m having an issue with popups not showing up both in frontend and in backend list. I’m not entirely sure but it might be due to a recent update. The old popups I created aren’t showing up anymore in the backend archive page. It says that there are 2 published popups, but actually there’s none in the list and they don’t show up on frontend as well.

I’ve tried to deactivate and activate the plugin and it went through the whole tour again, as if the plugin has been installed for the first time, and it even creates a demo popup. I can create new popups with no troubles but my old popups aren’t there anymore. How can this be solved?

    Thanks, best regards

    Hi Fabio,

Thank you for writing in to us and sorry to hear that you are experiencing such issue.

Please could you try following these steps below and check if this helps you with the problem?

    1) Disable all WPML plugins
    2) Re-enable all WPML plugins
    3) For any popups that have been translated, edit each one and re-apply the correct language for the popup.

    Keep us posted.

Hope that helps. If that does not works for you, I would suggest reaching us directly to our HelpScout support desk so we may best assist you with your issue. Check this link: https://wppopupmaker.com/support/ Thank you.

Hello and thank you very much for your help. I disabled and re-enabled WPML and my old popups showed up again in the archive list.

I assume there has been an update concerning the compatibility with the WMPL translation system that I overlooked.

I had 2 popups on my multilingual website, but none was translated. The first one is triggered by a selector class in the main language pages, the second one is triggered by another selector class in the translated pages. This was made in order to display different content for different languages, not very efficient but it worked.

Now the first popup for the main language still works straight away. The second one doesn’t work because I assume its post type was still set for the main language instead of the translated one.

I just fixed this by creating a translation for the first popup and changing its trigger to match the translated content selector. No need for the second popup anymore and it’s much better now.

    Thanks again for the support!
