Old Permalink will automatically 301 redirects?

    If I changed my permalink
    from
    /year/monthnum/postname/
    to
    /category/postname/

    my old post links in google search will automatically redirects to my new permalink??
    I don’t have an idea. I just want to know.

    My primary concern are the links in google search.
    Do I need to use redirect plugin or change Htaccess? BTW I have a hundreds of posts already.
