If I use v4.3.4 of the plugin, a very old news item from my website suddenly appears at the top of my mobile homepage with featured image and all. This wasn’t the case with the previous version. I did a rollback to v4.3.2 and it’s gone. The reinstalled v4.3.4 and the problem is back.

In addition: not only is this ancient newsitem irrelevant on the homepage, it generates a “Prioritize visible content” warning in Google Insights.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Is the post set as “Sticky” in WordPress by any chance?

If it’s not, take a look in Appearance > Customize > Blog Layout, and deselect “Show featured posts” if the post in question is displaying in the mobile theme’s featured slider. Save the changes and it should help resolve the issue.

    Hi Emilio,

The “show featured posts” was apparently introduced as a feature with the latest update of the plugin. I turned it off following your instructions. My problem is solved. Thanks for your support.

The post was not set as sticky, however. I still don’t know why that post was featured.
