I love the plug-in, but the old menu didn’t disappear. Now there are two menus. The great looking Groovy Menu and the old WordPress menu.

I’m not sure what to do!

    Thanks

    Hello @jcassel90!

    1) Obviously you are using the auto integration.
Auto integration does not remove or hide the built-in menu in the theme, it only puts the Groovy Menu at the very top of the page.

    2) What theme do you use?

    — Cut from Groovy Menu manual

How to disable the built-in menu in my theme
The way to disable the menu provided by the theme can vary from theme to theme. Here is a list of steps by priority:

    • Integrate the menu as “Integration through the child theme” For that go to "Groovy Menu > Integration" section and check if there is a possibility to “Integration through the Child theme” for your theme. (It’s available not for all themes)
    • Unset all the Navigation menus provided by the theme from Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations and leave only provided by the Groovy menu (Groovy menu primary)
    • Find the “Theme options” section in the theme that you use, if it exists, and find settings that disable the built-in header menu.
    • Check header settings in WordPress Customizer
    • If none of the above steps didn’t help to hide the menu provided by theme please create a ticket here (Available for customers has Groovy Menu PRO version only
    • Get paid for manual integration

    — End Cut —

I have the same problem but have the Simple theme so there is no possibility to “Integration through the Child theme” I can’t find the “theme options”

    I solved the problem
