Old hostgator favicon shows in browser history when in admin. back end

  • My theme has a section for uploading a favicon and that is working correctly on the front end but when I go into my admin and move to different pages there is a Hostgator favicon that shows up when I go to my history in my browser. The problem is I don’t use Hostgator so I don’t know how it got there but I definitely want it gone. Anyone know how to delete it or change it to my favicon? I’ve tried searching the support pages and can’t find anything that will work.

  • Try clearing your cache.

    If that doesn’t work, the Hostgator icon is likely saved in your files. Try logging into your FTP to see if you can find it.

    Already did all that. Where would I look for the Hostgator icon? I’ve looked everyplace I can think of in my file manager.
