• [moderator note – moved to How-To and Troubleshooting]

I’m using a theme that has a coded URL buried someplace. The theme has not been updated in a while. The URL points to a FA CSS file for version 3.2.1 of font-awesome. The external URL is slowing down the site. I’ve downloaded a local copy of the FA CSS file.

In an ideal world, I’d like to find the URL in the theme files and replace it with a reference to the local file. But, I’m not sure how to go about finding the URL code.

My second choice would be to find a way to dynamically replace the URL with one pointing to the local file.

I’m not sure if it’s possible, but a third option would be to intercept the call to the external URL and redirect it to the local fine.

Can anyone suggest how I might proceed.
