Old domain, new hosting/installation, old (deleted) site still loads!

  • Zymbol.org was originally registered and hosted on WordPress.com. I transferred the domain zymbol.org to GoDaddy, then set up hosting on it and installed WordPress through GoDaddy’s cPanel. I then deleted the old WordPress.com blog.
    Now, when I load zymbol.org, I sometimes get the new installation, sometimes the old deleted site still loads, sometimes I get a redirect loop error, and sometimes I get kicked out of my dashboard and can only log in again through GoDaddy’s cPanel. No idea what I’m doing, really appreciate any help!

    Have you changed name-servers of your domain, CDN and cleared browser cache.

    By the way, when I loaded the webste – it is pushed through godaddy.

    Hello, according to the whois database https://whois.domaintools.com/zymbol.org your domain name records are still pointing to automattic (wordpress.com).

    I recommend logging in to your godaddy account and checking all of your dns records for the zymbol.org domain name to make sure you’ve removed all references to 66.155.9.238 (check you A records and C name).

    If those are cleared out then make sure your www, *., @, A Records point to your godaddy server IP.

    Give it some to change if you’ve recently changed these.
