This site was very out of date so I updated the WP core and the theme Avada from 6.1 to 7.5. This produced the white screen. I placed plugins into a ‘hide’ folder and found WordPress-SEO to be the offender even though it had been updated to the latest version. I have now installed a fresh copy of the plugin.

My question: is there a way to import the data from the old plugin, still in the hide folder and intact into the fresh copy.

Another option is to go back to Blogvault, create a staging site, export the data from the functioning (at that time) plugin and then import into the new one.

    Has anyone had experience similar?

    Hi,

We only have the following import & export options as mentioned in this article – https://yoast.com/help/import-options-in-yoast-seo/

If you want to transfer all of the data such as the focus keyphrases and meta descdriptions, you’ll need to transfer the database to the new site if you’d like all of your Yoast data to appear on the new site.
