Old classic editor

    Hello everyone,
    I was asked to edit some events in a website.
    I noticed some of them can be edited with the classic editor and blocks, while others still retain the old editor, the one before Guthengerg.
    In these ones it’s impossible to edit the date and they do not appear in the calendar.
    Any thoughts about how to convert these to the new editor?

    Hi @valedim ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    To use the block editor in creating/editing your events, you could enable the option Activate Block Editor for Events from Events > Settings > General.

    If that doesn’t work, it could be that your WordPress version does not support the Block editor, or it could also be a plugin conflict.

    Could you provide the version of the following? This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

    thank you very much for your reply.

    I just noticed I wrote in the wrong forum maybe? The problem was related to The Events Calendar, not to Event Tickets and Registration.

    Anyway, if it’s the same I’ll answer your questions. Otherwise let me know and I will move my question to the other forum.

    Activate Block Editor for Events is flagged and WP is updated at the latest version. Here are the info:

    PHP: 8.2.0
    WordPress: 6.1.1
    The Events Calendar: 6.0.6.2
    Theme: Astra 1.3

    I tried troubleshooting this disabling everything but Astra and The Events Calendar. The problem persists.
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks for your reply!

    I can see that you’re running on the latest version of PHP, which might be what’s causing this conflict with our plugin. Could you please try switching to 8.0 or 7.4 and see it helps?

    If the problem persists, kindly open a thread in The Events Calendar forum, and we’ll continue troubleshooting from there.
