old backup, wordpress version new and old

    does the backup include the version of wordpress, i.e. wordpress core release 6.5.2 for example? Or do I have to install the correct version myself? It is the case that the WordPress version must match the plugins and if you want to fall back on a very old backup, this often no longer matches the new WordPress version.

    Hi Anna,

    The backup created by All-in-One WP Migration only includes the wp-content folder and your database. It does not include the WordPress core files. Therefore, if you’re restoring a backup, you’ll need to make sure the correct version of WordPress is installed separately to match your backup.

    If you’re restoring a very old backup, you might need to downgrade or upgrade your WordPress version to ensure compatibility with your plugins.
