I am new to wordpress. I developed a site on my local host. I knew I needed to back up my work so I searched for a backup solution. When I found backup to dropbox I felt good because I knew that if dropbox made and supported this plugin it would work well. The reason I thought this was from the dropbox people is because you have the symbol for dropbox. I have a feeling that this is not the dropbox people.

In any event I used the plugin to backup the site numerous times. I used mostly local backup because everytime I used backup to drop box it would fail. I got this secret and and app and there was a red box with a number in it and I press activate or register many times but it never put anything in my dropbox.

So I had the numerous backups on my dashboard and I had the little restore buttons. I felt good. Then the site crashed and I had problems. So I saved the folder that the site was in. The www folder. Inside the folder I do find a folder called wpadmin backups. But I cannot find a folder called backup to dropbox or anything that sounds like your program.

I don’t have the site anymore so naturally I don’t have the little buttons that say restore. So now I don’t know how to restore the site when there is no dashboard.

I sent the log file i found to the wpadm support email address. I don’t see how they will know about the problem and connect it with dropbox restore. I have two folders on my harddrive. They were the folders of two websites that I was working on. I still have the folders and everything in them is intact. I just don’t know how to restore the sites. I don’t have the sites or the dashboard. I don’t want to play around too much with this with out advice as I don’t want to do more damage. Am I suppose to install a fresh copy of wordpress and then install dropbox backup and then do what? The restore buttons won’t be there some how I would have to get the backups that I thought this plugin was making to some how show up to restore them.
