  • wp-header.php
    index.php
    wp-sidebar.php
    wp-footer.php
BUT if you want to, upload your OLD index.php and just use that. It needs ONE small change to it for a 1.2 index to work with 1.3
    Why did you update ??

well podz i wanted to go along as it gets developed…
anyway….what change is that gonna be?
cause ive spend some time getting the index done….(you remember that i think)
So what do i need to change?

Compare your old index.php with the new sections, and copy over any essential code.
BACKUP your old index and do the comparing and copying slowly and carefully. Don’t rush it – you will make a mistake.

well podz ive done this a thousand times, yeah i got it all backed up.
i was already busy duplicating the lines ….
But is that all in the wp-header now ?

    Download the files listed above.
    Open each in Notepad.
Then look at your old index.php – it’s not so different – and do the copying.

john1000, you might consider doing what most of the rest of us are doing — *not* updating to 1.3 until it is actually released.
That will mean that 1.3 is in its final form, and that any updating and hacking of files that we may need to do is done once.
What you’re doing is utilizing a not-yet-final version of WP, and going through the grief of discovery/change each time — with a version that isn’t even in final form.
On the other hand, perhaps you have a reason for going through all these steps one at a time.
