• Hey, I hate to do this, but I have to vote,”Broken.”

I don’t know what the problem is, as I use Jetpack on other sites with the same web host and same configuration with no problems, but it will not work properly on my blog on my classified site.

What is very strange is that there is no problem on any other pages, but on the blog, it will not load the like button (just sits there saying it’s loading) and the other buttons do not load or function correctly.

I’ve taken all the other plugins off and reloaded them one at a time. One plugin that I’ve used elsewhere (sharexy), was causing the site to crash instead of loading. From time to time I would get an error notice that a script on the page was causing the blog to take too long to load (in Chrome). When I dumped the Sharexy plugin, the blog loaded just fine, except that Jetpack still would not work when I reinstalled it.

If anyone can give me any hints, perhaps having had the same problem and figured out a fix, I would be very happy to know about it.

Again, every other page on the site is working fine. Only the blog has problems, and without Sharexy or Jetpack, it seems to work fine.

    Thanks for reading.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I note a few issues when accessing your site:

    1. One of your plugins or your theme seems to loading a script that slows down the page and creates Javascript errors. I get the following warning when accessing your site in Chrome:
      https://i.wpne.ws/TDjW
I also see the follow Javascript errors on all pages of your site:
      https://i.wpne.ws/TDei
These errors are most likely what’s breaking the Like button. I would suggest that you deactivate all plugins, one at a time, until the errors disappear.
    2. Jetpack doesn’t seem to be properly connected to WordPress.com at the moment. Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site so we can find out what’s blocking your site from connecting with WordPress.com?

      1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
      2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
      3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
      4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
      5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

      Thanks!

    Thank you, Jeremy.

I get the same message, and have done most of what you suggest, already.

I use the same setup on multiple sites with the same host and only get this problem with this site, and only with the blog.

I have contacted my host, and they are also scratching their heads.

So far, no one has come up with the answer. Thank you for suggesting
Jetpack debugging. That is the only thing you have suggested that I
haven’t tried. I’m pretty handy at this stuff, so this one is far too interesting. lol

    Will try that today.
