• This plugin does its job nicely, and is fine for tech-savvy users.

My problem revolves around file size. The plugin’s settings (quite rightly) allow you to specify the maximum file size, and maximum number of files, that can be attached to a post. Unfortunately it does not give the user any warning that the file he is about to attach exceeds the max file size. His post gets accepted but WITHOUT the attachment; invariably to the user’s bewilderment!

A simple message to indicate that the user needs to submit a smaller file would be a big improvement to the user interface (and avoid user frustration).

I have been informed that this is included in the ‘Pro’ version, at a minimum cost of $50 per annum. Fine if you are running a forum for a large community. In my case I use bbPress on the community website of a small village (just 300 residents) and cannot justify such an expense.

Surely a simple error message when required is a necessity for any piece of software??!
