• So, to sum up my current experience with this plugin.

A problem occurred while processing this task. The server responded with code 504: Gateway Timeout. The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

    and

Couldn’t fetch URL server returned error code 503

I’ve just spent the best part of a day trying to coax products into woocommerce from amazon to be faced with these errors. I sent a email in for support, but no reply back as of yet.

If you have a substantially sized catalogue that you are trying to sync I cant feasibly see how this plugin will provide a stable and reliable platform to perform that action.

Another issue i found is that if you uninstall the plugin completely, then reinstall it, none of the entries into the database are removed. You jump right back in where you left it.

If any of the devs could look into this and provide me assistance it would be appreciated, but as of my current experience i cant recommend this plugin to be reliable.

I’m very sorry for the troubles you were experiencing, but I should mention that we replied within 3 minutes to your support request, where you reported the same issue as above, and you never replied back. (May 20, 1:31pm we received your message and at 1:34pm John sent his reply.)

Yes, you were asking “Is there anyway of checking to find out what would cause the above error?” and our reply consisted mainly of the counter question “What are you doing that is causing that error to appear?”, but if you had followed up on that question I’m sure we would have been able to narrow this down to one thing or another.

In general, we don’t see that error 504 “Gateway Timeout” very often, and we do have a lot of happy users who run WP-Lister on SiteGround servers, but usually this error is related to running out of resources like memory or PHP execution time limits.

If you had replied back, we would have created a staging site for testing, where we could disable all other plugins to see if there is some 3rd party interference, or if the same set of active plugins might even work on a different server.

If you have any problem with WP-Lister you should contact us at support at wplab.com (as you did) and answer our questions (which you didn’t). But please don’t put support requests in reviews like this, that way it can take a very long time to get a reply.

    kind regards,
    Matt
