    Hi,

I have an image preview set for social posts via Yoast SEO which has recently stopped working.

I get the error “The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.” via Facebook debugger.

I can see the og:image property set but the Facebook debugger doesn’t seem to be picking it up.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Hi @protosoftwareraymond

When checking that page, we do see that the og:image tag being generated by the Yoast SEO plugin is outputting in the page source, so we’re not sure why it’s not being picked up by the Facebook Sharing Debugger Tool.

Could you try editing that post or page and going to the Yoast SEO meta box and then the Social tab and Facebook section and try to use a different image (preferably with a higher resolution) and update, and try to scrape it again in Facebook’s Sharing Debugger Tool and see if it picks it up?

    Hi,

I changed the social image specifically for that post and the same issue is still occurring.

    I’m getting ”
The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.” on the debugger. I’ve no other SEO plugins installed.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I replied above earlier today prior to the issue closing. I can still open a new issue if needed?

    Thanks!
