    Hi folks,

A little concerning that even after the topic has been closed I’m still not getting any nice images brought up on Facebook.

Has there been any update on this or anything I can use as a workaround?

    Cheers,

    Peter

Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v8.2? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-premium-plugin/

Also, if you clear your cache (server, plugin/theme, browser, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider. We have information on how to clear your browser cache at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/.

    Hi Devnihil,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yoast is completely up to date, yep! We use WP Rocket and have cleared all caches. I have also logged into CloudFlare to also purge the CDN cache.

Let me know if you require any more information. Appreciate any help ??

@theretrostoreuk Can you please provide us with a specific post/page URL where you’ve set an og:image but it’s not being outputted? Is the issue happening only on the front page? Or is it happening on all pages?

    Hey jerparx,

At the moment I’m seeing it on many pages across the site. We have OG images set in the social part of the page editor, as well as a backup in the SEO settings. Both are providing no joy at the moment.

All of our landing pages seem to be having no joy whatsoever. What’s the best way to proceed? I have plenty of screenshots showing our setup and the results on OG Debugger.

theretro.co.uk/vinyl and theretro.co.uk/comics for example just show the logo.

    Cheers,

    Pete

Upon checking https://theretro.co.uk/vinyl/ & https://theretro.co.uk/comics, we are unable to locate any og:image tag in the page source.

Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    Hi Michael,

Going to work through the steps you mentioned. However, you will see that the social image tag is working fine for Twitter if you check those links. I have the image set up for both Facebook and Twitter hence my confusion ??

    Cheers,

    Peter

@theretrostoreuk Were you able to perform a conflict check, and if so can you please let us know the results of the check?
