    Hello,

I’m having an issue with the og:image when I publish a post. Whenever I create a new post, add a featured image and then publish the post, I’m seeing the default one. If I press the button ‘save draft’ and then publish the post, I get the correct og:image.

I wanted to know where and how is the og:image stored in order for me to hook properly to have the correct value for og:image whenever I publish a post directly.

    Best,

    Hello @denisflorin197,

Thanks for reaching out about your social image. Quick question: when you publish a new post and you check the page source, do you see the correct og:image output? Or do you have to ‘save draft’ and then publish the post before the correct one is also shown in the page source?

    Hi @maybellyne,

Without using the button save draft, when I publish a post directly, I see the default og:image while logged-out, while logged-in, I see the correct image.

For this reason, I asked how/where the og:image is stored, so that when a post is published directly, the cache will be flushed correctly.

As a side note, what I mean by published directly is that when I work on an article, add a feature image, and then publish, the og:image for the cached version is incorrect, while if I use the button save draft and then publish, the cached version is correct.

Facebook (Open Graph) meta tags are stored in wp_postmeta where meta_key starts with _yoast_wpseo_opengraph. Twitter meta tags are stored in the same location but start with _yoast_wpseo_twitter.
