I know this. But it is good if is possible get first image auto, like posts created with standart editor ??

Btw any idea what is sort of get images. I think is it:

    1. Image from special social menu in post
    2. Feature image
    3. First image from post
    4. Fallback image from plugin settings

This has been discussed in other topic, here. Long story short, while we can pull image from content we prefer users being in full control or what is happening. Similar feature request is opened for discussion here.

However, I still can’t promise you divi will be supported in foreseeable future, as it is proprietary code. In other words, not WordPress. Even though it is popular WordPress theme, there are tons of others like Visual Composer, Elementor, Beaver builder. Building support for social media image auto–pull for all of them is currently risky, due to sheer amount of work that would require and more importantly, because WordPress will soon roll out their own builder, Gutenberg.

This might potentially stir up the pot with builders. It is possible that some of them will fade into obsolesce. Under current circumstances, we think it is best users are in full control of setting the social images themselves. Thanks for understanding.

I will be happy if u provide link to see what is discussed.
For now i see when feature image is set , plugin get it, also when post is created with standart editor not builder , plugin get first image.

    Hi guys,

I’m dropping by to tell Divi will remain supported in the foreseeable future ??
Unlike many other proprietary plugins, Divi has a major market share and it remains a force to be reckoned with.

We have access to their code. However, it is true that page builders–including the Divi Builder–tend to change drastically over time and maintain no dependable API.
For now, Divi and TSF remain fully compatible, although some features aren’t made available.

By default, the plugin doesn’t get the first image automatically. This implementation is still under consideration, and it will be made available somewhere in the 3.x development line.

To reiterate the Open Graph and Twitter image fetching:

    Main override filter 0
SEO Settings homepage custom social image (if home)
Post custom social image (if singular)
    Featured Image (if singular)
SEO Settings social custom fallback image
    Fallback filter 1
    Custom header (theme support)
    Fallback filter 2
    Site logo (theme support)
    Site icon (theme support)

Extra images are automatically appended to Open Graph on WooCommerce products with gallery support. The same will happen with in-post-content images after the aforementioned update is released.

    Cheers ??

Good thing there is a new fully fledged API available for Divi.

I’d have yet to dive into that. Thanks for notifying ??

For now, only “auto-generated descriptions” are limited when builders are detected.
The API will help us expand further in the future. Cheers!
