    Hi,
the OG-Image is, when posting a link somewhere, either wrong or none.
    Example one:
When i post the homepage/domain (not a subpage) it shows this image:
    https://www.axellauer.de/screenshots/yoast1.jpg
The image shown is an image from the latest blogpost, but not the OG-image from the startpage.
Why does it show a completely wrong image here?

    example 2:
When i check via twittercard validator it does not show any image at all:
    https://www.axellauer.de/screenshots/yoast1.jpg
The validator says that “summary_large_image tag found” but the preview shows a small image.
Why does it show a wrong preview and no image?

    kind regards axel

We’re sorry you’re having trouble with social preview when sharing the page. I imagine this can be frustrating for you. We’d like to look a closer look.

Upon checking the page source we do see the missing OG:Image meta tag required for image sharing on social media. However, checking the main page URL via the Facebook debugger tool, we do see the image being outputted on the preview. See attachment reference.

Please note that if og:image tag is missing Facebook will select a relevant image from the page content and choose to display it on the social media preview.

Make sure that you’ve assigned the custom Facebook/Twitter image for the homepage from the Yoast SEO metabox as explained in this KB – https://yoast.com/help/custom-open-graph-tags/
