I was forced to download this plugin because of my tweet to quote plugin. However the plugin unsettled my SEO and I had to get Yoast to help me on google. Yet when I set priority image in a post your plugin doesn’t recognize it and facebook doesn’t see it.

The only priority image that works is for the entire site and pages without featured image. Even when my post has a featured image, I still require to set a priority image. The problem is that this doesn’t work properly. It still picks the overall og-image for the site. So I removed that overall site og image and boom! og-image for the post, although set up at the priority box, did not work.Unlike Yoast that ensures my featured image is priority.

Now I had to uninstall both WPSSO packages because of the og-image trouble. Please make the plugin see the featured image as priority image. However Yoast plugin does it, do it.

Regards for the Tweet a quote plugin. Although I have uninstalled it, it was nice.

    I’m happy to help.

Unlike Yoast SEO, WPSSO Core creates images of a specific size, optimized for each social / search site, and makes sure that the thumbnail image provided by WordPress actually matches the size requested (see the SSO > Image Sizes settings page for all image sizes). My guess would be that the image you selected was too small and an error notice was shown in the SSO notification area in the top toolbar — you must have missed that information. You can select a larger featured image, selected a different / larger image ID in the Document SSO metabox (under the Priority Media tab), or select an image URL, which is not checked for size. I would suggest using an original image that is large enough though, if you want to maximize your click through rate (sharper images on high resolution screens look better and get clicked more). ??

See here for more info on images:
