OG Description Picking up sharing

We have now fixed the issue in the development version of Jetpack, and the fix will be part of the next release.

I just updated Jetpack to 3.8.0 (changelog said this was fixed in it) and still have the problem with SOME (but not all) posts.

For example, run this URL through the FB Linter and you’ll see it still picks up the extra stuff:
https://theboatgalley.com/ditch-bag/

But run this one through and it’s okay:
https://theboatgalley.com/rehydration-drink/

That’s interesting. The Open Graph Meta tags don’t include the extra sharing info anymore on that post, so the problem is clearly fixed on your site, but Facebook doesn’t seem to be able to grab the updated Open Graph Meta Tags.

Do you use a caching plugin or service on your site, or do you use something like Varnish on your server? If so, could you make sure your site’s cache is flushed, and then try hitting the “Fetch new scrape information” button again, on Facebook Debugger page?
