    Hi mobius82,

    Yes! That is exactly what this plugin does.
    It can create two new sidebars (left and right) for you to fill als you like.

    After that you can add trigger-buttons for these sidebars on any location you want:
    – Use a widget to create these buttons (for example in a sidebar located in the header of your website)
    – Add these buttons as menu items
    – Or create and place them yourself

    If you want to change the looks of these sidebars and widgets you can use the settings page of this plugin or add the CSS in your theme (or use a custom CSS plugin).

    Let me know if you need help. The plugin is not compatible with all themes because this is nearly impossible due to the difference in front-end markup.
