• Am not sue this is related to S2 Members but am reasonably sure it might be.
    The only admin account I can get access to wp-admin is mine. All other admin accounts and default WordPress accounts, after logging in, go to wp-admin and then get “You are not authorised to access this page”.
    They get the same when tying to edit “Edit My Profile”.

    The other admin accounts can go back to the main site page after logging in, tray to create a new post from the menu bar and then get the admin sidebar up where they can install updates, access plugins etc.

    Odd thing is S2 members can edit there profile but admins etc can’t.

    I previously had “Member Profile Modifications” set to “Yes” but have set it to “No” using WordPress default methodologies but there is no change in behaviour for WordPress members.

  • There are several possibilities, including the following:

    1. Try clearing your cache (if you have one) or disabling any caching plugin altogether. Also try clearing your browser cache (especially if using Firefox).

    2. If still no go, try re-saving permalinks (with caching still off).

    3. If still no joy, check for a plugin (or theme) conflict.

    4. If still no good, I’d investigate a possible .htaccess issue.

    The plot thickens on this.
    I tried all of the above with no luck.
    Went into the database and wp_capabilities for the admin account where everything was ok is:
    a:2:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;s:13:"bbp_keymaster";b:1;}

    Changed the other admin accounts to this and they now also operate as should.

    Not a clue what to do with the regular accounts.
    BBPress *was* installed but was deactivated. An obvious reference there that still remains. No clue either what all of the above means or I might be able to fix the other non-admin accounts.

    Ideas?
