• Ok, I know WordPress works alot better on a Linux server, but I have a client that has a Windows based server running WordPress. Not sure why they want to stay there instead of a Linux based one, but anyways, the site is hosted on GoDaddy on a Windows-based server using IIS8, using PHP 5.4.30 on FastCGI. Now, the sites runs well, for the most part, but I have ran into a glitch(or maybe is a setting error somewhere). When I go to add a new plugin, and then decide to view details, I get a 404 within the iFrame. The odd part is the it loads for a few(very few) plugins. What’s more odd is that, if I use PHP 5.2 instead of 5.4, the issue is resolved. The reason why I don’t use older versions of PHP is because of security and performance, so I rather not use that. Any suggestions on why this is happening? I did called GoDaddy, but they insisted to just switch to a Linux server. The problem is that the client wants to stay on a Windows server, no idea why. Any suggestions are welcome.

    Cheers and thank you

UPDATE: I did called GoDaddy. It appears there are some new settings on the version for PHP5.4 that are clashing, tho I am still trying to figure out which. Apparently there is something that is blocking remote content to be loaded on iFrames. The odd part is that it only happens on the backend. I can put an iframe on the frontend with no problems. Really odd. If I cannot figure this out, I will just change to toa Linux server.
