Odd 404 errors from bots

I’m getting a lot of weird 404 error URLs in my 404 log, all from bots. They all follow the same pattern. Here’s an example:

https://www.johnrothra.com/putins-real-endgame-russia/&description=What%20is%20Putin&

The pattern on all of them: https://www.johnrothra.com/blog-post-slug/&description=First%20three%20words&

I have no idea where the “&description” stuff is coming from. There are no links to it, and the log says there is no referring URL and the User Agent is always a search engine bot.
