• Is there a way to have the Popup Login show in a different menu, not the main menu? For example, the Top Bar menu (or other menu), but without having to use a shortcode?

    Thank you…

  • Hello,

You can display popup login anywhere in your site.

Please follow the documentation – click here.

Thanks Amit. I have already seen the documentation, but this relates to using a shortcode or a link, not for directly in a menu.

As it works now, the popup login is shown in the main menu, and this works great of that’s where you want to diplay it. What if I want to use it in another menu? Is there a code snippet to change the menu to display the popup login?

For the moment, I am using the shortcode to display the popup login in the topbar, but this is not optimal, for a few reasons.

1.) I need to add some CSS to display the popup login nicely, otherwise there’s no padding, the topbar menu is right up next to it.
2.) When I view the site in mobile, the topbar menu moves to the mobile menu, but the popup login stays in the topbar.
3.) The “Login Text” and the “Logout Text” setting don’t work for the shortcode.

    Thank you…

    Hello,

You can only use shortcodes with some custom css to style your pop-up login.

Top bar menu will go inside the main menu in mobile site so why are you not creating your header using different styles or if you want more flexibility, you can create custom header using page builder.

I guess to simplify my question, is there a way, without having to use the shortcode [oceanwp_popup_login], or create a custom header, to display the popup login link in a different menu, not the main menu?

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, without using short code it is not possible. You can create custom menu for login as mentioned in the documentation but you need to do some css also to make it working properly.

Thanks Amit. Any future plan to implement this feature?

Also, using the shortcode, the “Login Text” and the “Logout Text” settings in Customise > Popup Login, don’t work. Can I change these a different way to work for the shortcode?

Did you choose Manual Position in the customize > Popup login?

If I didn’t choose manual, it wouldn’t even show up in the menu right? Who are you Amit?
