• I saw another post regarding issues with OceanWP and your plugin. ‘You said you managed to get it working in your own test environment but recognised an issue with how this theme handles Ajax. It’s been some months since the post and I’m guessing OceanWP has been updated; has there been a progress that you know of? I haven’t been able to get it to work with or without the ‘Enable AJAX add to cart’ on or off.

Correct. We have confirmed OceanWP works with Product Add-ons, but not while using the Ajax functionality for the Single Product page. Overall, we have an open development effort to support Ajax functionality across several themes, OceanWP one of them.

To verify, we are running the following setup:

    WooCommerce version 4.4.1
    BizSwoop Product Add-ons 2.0.7
    OceanWP 1.8.7

The behavior showing here working on OceanWP without Ajax.

On Ajax support, we do plan on trying to develop the functionality, but don’t have a timeline on when it might be available. We are a small team trying to prioritize features across all our www.remarpro.com products. Unfortunately, right now Ajax support is lower on our priority list due to the complexity of compatibility with Ajax and Product Add-ons.

Thank you so much for your response. I have been trying to use OceanWP with Add ons and another plugin called Food Online. Unfortunately, (with all the version settings you state) whether I switch ‘Enable AJAX add to cart’ off in the theme, I cannot get the cart to populate.

You’re welcome. Thanks for sharing the additional information and as you noticed, unfortunately any other plugin or theme using Ajax will not work properly with the Product Add-ons plugin right now.

If you are still having issues with OceanWP not working when Ajax add-on is disabled, you may consider doing a clean install of the theme. We did a quick review of the Food Online plugin, other users reported Add to Cart issues, so we suspect it could have introduced an issue with the Theme functions and even once disabled could still cause issues.

In the future, we hope to be able to support Ajax compatibility with OceanWP And other themes/plugins. We’ll leave the support forum topic open and provide updates as we continue to evaluate adding support for Ajax compatibility.
