Hi @spintoband and seowebby,
We’re sorry to hear that you feel we’re hijacking anything in your WordPress admin. Earlier this year we received feedback that some of our users were annoyed by the number of notifications in their admin. That’s why we decided to move most of them to our own dashboard. One that you don’t have to go to if you’re not interested.
In our more recent updates, we’ve added functionality to disable entire parts of the plugin, to allow you to use only what you need.
So, if you’re running the latest version, you shouldn’t see a lot of notifications at all. Yes, we asked you for a review. To freely quote Edmund Burke: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of 1* reviews is for good men not to review.”, and we just couldn’t let that happen.
Since the plugin is becoming more and more modular, you can just disable the parts you don’t like. Don’t want Yoast SEO to be in your column interface? Hide it. Don’t want the Yoast SEO content analysis? Disable it. It’s all possible now.
In your review, you wrote that you still think the functionality of the plugin is great. That’s why I ask you to review your review. If you feel the plugin is all bad, by all means, leave it as 1* review. But if you continue using the plugin, I think we’re doing a bit better than that, don’t you?
Thanks,
Taco
