Hello, and thank you for this very powerful plugin. WordPress’s site health tool is nagging me to use a persistent object cache. I would be happy to do so, but your plugin does not appear to offer a configuration option that enables object caching only for non-logged-in users. By contrast, you thankfully have a setting that disables page caching and database caching for logged-in users.

Is there a way to make use of object caching but for non-logged-in users only? If not, I hope you will consider this feature suggestion.

    Hello @verysiberian

Thank you for reaching out and for your suggestion.

Can you please share which caching method you are using for Object Caching (disk or some memory based caching)

Also, please check the Performance>Object Cache and see f the option: Enable caching for wp-admin requests is enabled.

    Thanks!

Hi, Marko. Thanks for your reply! I am not currently using object caching since your plugin does not appear to provide a way to do so only for non-logged-in users. I would like to use it with either memcached (which is installed on my server) or disk based caching. However, I need the option not to use it for logged in users, which is the question at hand.

    Best regards,

    Very Siberian

    Hello @verysiberian

The W3 Total Cache does not cache objects for logged-in users if you have not enabled the option ?Enable caching for wp-admin requests. Now if you are referring to subscribers as logged-in users on your website, there is no option for this course, and there is no solution that offers this as an option

To clarify my question, Which caching method have you been using when you encountered the information about using persistent object cache?

    Thanks!

Thanks, I was referring solely to object caching for any logged in users regardless of role and frontend, backend, etc. It sounds like you’re saying that such a configuration is not supported, nor is it even possible.

I tried enabling object cache on several sites with both disk and memcached methods, but I always had problems with incorrect material being shown to logged in users.

    Hello @verysiberian

    Thank you for your feedback.

Can you please share the website URL and also, check if the Page Caching is disabled for logged in users in Performance>Page Cache.

    Thanks!

It seems that I have not been sufficiently clear — sorry about that. Everything is working fine except when object caching is enabled. I have been trying to ask about enabling it but not caching any objects for logged in users. From what I can tell in your replies, this is not supported and will not be. That’s too bad, but thanks for letting me know.

When I have had issues with object caching in the past, page and database caching was not enabled for logged in users.
